Coaching for Excellence Team Performance

A leader of a team has to ensure the achievement of the goals. Leadership function through team empowerment assures the teams' optimal performance in achieving the goals. A leader's success derives from the extent to which they can manage team members throughout the process of achieving goals.​​​​ Along the journey, team members constantly encounter opportunities and hurdles that require appropriate and fast responses. The team must solve the issues with the best and most necessary decisions based on different situations.

Not all team members can decipher these various things easily. If the team members can not propose any idea to solve the problems effectively, a great leader must assist them through needed, even extreme, action and strategy. The answer to this crisis is through coaching and counseling programs from experts.  

Unfortunately, most still view coaching and counseling programs as a corrective tool, though it does more than that. Coaching and counseling programs effectively assist the team members to achieve their goals and ambitions along with positive change.

  • Low performance due to lack of understanding of the task: COACHING

  • Low performance due to personal issues: COUNSELING

Coaching is an assistance that is needed when your team has a limited understanding of their duties. Meanwhile, counseling is assistance for team members that influence by their personal lives. We formulated at least 5 KEY PRINCIPLES, which you can apply to most of the Coaching & Counseling processes, which are:

  • There is no judgment throughout the process 

  • There is an agreed goal

  • Coaching and counseling focus on looking to the future, solutions, and further corrective actions

Implementing these five principles will make the Coaching and Counseling program effective and productive. Becoming leaders are no longer enough to have a vision, mission, motto, or reward system. The leaders are also in charge of coaching team members to work optimally according to their respective potentials. The leaders should be willing to aid team members in solving their problems. When your team succeeds in overcoming a problem, then a burden for your problem as a Team Leader will also be lifted. In the end, you also benefit right?
